Date: 20th June 2021
Time: 10:45 – 15:00
Venue: Sgwd Yr Eira Waterfalls, Brecon, Wales
Waterfall Training normally takes place annually on the 1st Sunday of the New Year. Unfortunately, due to Covid 19 the session in January was cancelled. Now restrictions have eased allowing up to 50 people to train outside, we have decided to organise a Waterfall Training session for Sunday 20th June. This is a fantastic opportunity for the Kyokushin family to train together once again.
All places must be booked in advance of the Waterfall Training session. If you are no longer able to attend, please cancel your place so it can be given to someone else.
As temperatures will be warmer and the weather a little drier (hopefully…) at this time of year, we have decided to allow students from 14 years and above to experience the thrill of Waterfall Training.
It’s normally a positive way to start the New Year getting you in the right mindset to meet any challenges the New Year has to throw your way. After the last year, it is most important that we can refocus ourselves and start our Kyokushin training off the right way once again. To experience the spiritual mokuso (focus & clear one’s mind) at the side of the waterfall, throwing punches under the flowing waterfall, is such an amazing sensation!
We will have some photos taken before starting the run at 11.00am.
Due to Covid-19 we will need to make some changes this year.
1. Everyone who wishes to attend Waterfall Training must register with Sensei Roger. You will need to provide details for Tack and Trace which includes the name of your dojo and a contact telephone number.
2. Numbers will be restricted to a maximum of 50 in line with Welsh Government guidelines. However, anybody who is helping to organise or support the activity, if they are working or providing a voluntary service, can also attend and do not need to be considered within the limit of 50.
3. Social distance must be maintained at all times.
4. Face masks will be required upon arrival at the meeting point.
5. Travel restriction information should be checked at the time of event to see if you can travel to and from Wales.
6. Do NOT attend if you or anyone in your household is showing signs of Covid-19 symptoms.
We will be meeting at The Lamb Hotel, Chapel Road Aberdare CF44 9JX at 10.45am, before starting the run at 11.00am.
Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 we will not be going back to The Lamb pub for refreshments. Please bring a flask with a warm drink and some warm clothes to change in to. Remember there are no changing rooms or hot showers, just a towel and a car door to protect your modesty. Also, toilets will not be available so save that for warming yourself up under the waterfall!!
Due to the nature of this event we must restrict the age of the event to 14 years old and above.
Please get in contact via email or phone if you need further information.
We look forward to seeing you all there.
